Supporting another person is an “Attitude”. Typically supporting another person is “All or Nothing” thinking. Either you will or you won’t. It is your choice.

There are many way to show your support.

You can agree with their thinking or actions and tell them so. Whatever you say or do will make them feel safe and valued.

You can agree to give them what they want. This again makes them appreciate your help.

The bottom line is that you give them the feeling that “I’m there for you. You are not alone.”
