Threatening

Threatening

We tend to use threatening to control and manipulate other people. We are trying to get people to do (or not do) things because we feel justified so we threaten. The threats may be to take things away, force some consequence or to expose that person.

Regardless of the type of threat, we feel morally justified to manipulate someone’s thinking or actions. Usually we see a benefit to ourselves if the manipulation gets the result we seek.

I ask you! “Do you respond well to threats?”

Is the habit of threatening working for you?

You might want to get off your moral high horse and find another way of relating with people.

The end result of “Threatening” is resentment. “Is that what you want?”
